A passionate restoration by our local owners has brought this original coaching inn firmly into the 21st Century whilst retaining all its traditional charm and character. Plush carpets, luxurious drapes in an array of rich silks and damasks, antiques and period features are complemented with contemporary luxuries such as flatscreen TVs, power showers and fluffy duvets! Each of our 49 bedrooms and stunning suites are quite individual in style ranging from elegant high rooms to pretty ‘cottage’ style rooms with leaded dormer windows! All have stylish bathrooms with walk-in power showers and several also have romantic claw-footed roll top baths!

Wake up to 2011 with us on either a 2 or 3-night break arriving on either the 30th or the 31st to ring out the old and ring in the new at Ye Olde Bell!

Roaring log fires and our friendly team will be there to welcome you, so check into your luxury room and relax on comfy leather sofas in the lounge from 4pm for tea and homemade cream scones.
In the evening, TaleGate Theatre are joining us during dinner for a spot of interactive ‘Murder Mystery Cluedo’! “Is Colonel Mustard too hot around the collar, is Miss Scarlet a little too flush around the face – or could it be our own Lady Jane?” Fancy dress optional, but will add to the fun!
New Year’s Eve - Friday 31 December 2010
After a leisurely breakfast, explore the treasures of our area or take a brisk walk or cycle ride in Clumber Park or Sherwood Forest. You may of course prefer a more relaxing day by the fire, as it’s going to be a very late night!
Celebrations begin with chilled bubbles at 7.15pm followed by the Gala Dinner Dance with live band and resident disco to dance 2010 away! Bacon rolls arrive in the early hours of 2011 to ensure you have just enough energy for the last dance!
Alternatively you may prefer a quieter evening wining and dining in our elegant oak panelled Restaurant 1650, newly refurbished with stunning black and gold decor and gleaming chandeliers! Very creative cuisine on the menu from our new chef and exceptional hospitality from the 1650 team!
New Year's Day - Saturday 1 January 2011
No need to wake up to 2011 too early! Ye Olde Bell Brunch will be served from 9.30am – 11am and then you can enjoy a leisurely day or blow the cobwebs of 2010 away walking, cycling or being the first in the queue at the January sales!
A superb 3-course dinner will be served from 7.30pm followed by either an early night or a late nightcap in the St Leger Bar or the Club Lounge? The choice is yours!
